Prerequisite: Successful completion of Tier 1


What Tier 2 is

Tier 2 deepens the relational, emotional, and systemic competencies introduced in Tier 1 and prepares participants for more complex supportive-care environments.

This level expands from foundational bedside presence into advanced navigation of family systems, emotional intensity, cultural dynamics, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Tier 2 prepares practitioners for senior supportive roles within community-based palliative contexts.

• Graduates of Tier 1 seeking advanced practice
• Those preparing for practicum and professional designation
• Individuals stepping into leadership-level supportive roles
• Practitioners navigating complex family systems
• Those committed to sustained companioning across care arcs

Enrollment is limited to Tier 1 graduates.

• Applied use of the Adaptive Patient & Family-Centered Care Model (APFCCM)

Live online sessions
Tuesdays at 10:00 AM MST

Two scheduling options are offered.
Attendance at one session per week fulfills the live requirement.

Recordings are available for integration and review.

Successful completion of Tier 2 prepares participants for:

Practicum → Capstone → Professional Designation


Certification

Upon completion of Tier 2 coursework, you receive:

Certificate: Advanced Supportive Palliative Care Practices

Graduates who complete Tier 2 and continue through Practicum and Capstone may earn:

Professional Certificate in Supportive Palliative Care Practice

and the CSPE professional designation:

CPCP — Certified Palliative Care Practitioner

All role titles reflect CSPE-defined supportive-care competencies and remain non-medical and non-regulated.


Admissions & Expectations 

Tier 2 requires:

• Completion of Tier 1
• Live participation in weekly sessions
• Emotional readiness for complex supportive-care discussions
• Commitment to reflective practice and ethical scope

Progression to practicum is contingent upon successful completion of Tier 2.

Tuition: $2,199 CAD

Payment Plan:
2 equal payments of $1,099.50
• Payment 1 at registration
• Payment 2 three weeks later

Professional Progression 

Tier 2 marks the transition from foundational companioning into advanced supportive palliative practice.

Practicum details are introduced within the Tier 2 cohort.
